Tiffany Studios Pine Needle Ashtray and Match Holder, #958, in good condition with White Glass, circa 1910

Tiffany Studios Ashtray, Tiffany Studios Pine Needle Ashtray

Another truly unique item from Tiffany Studios New York Pine Needle desk set pattern, this is an Ashtray and Match holder meant to be used at a desk. Pine Needle is a subset of the “Etched Metal and Glass” Tiffany pattern. These pieces — which combine bronze overlay with colored glass — generally come in gold bronze and white glass, or brown bronze and green glass. This Pine Needle piece was in production between approximately 1900 and 1920.

Pattern: Pine Needle

Approximate Dimensions: 5″ x 5″ x 5″

Marks: Clearly stamped “Tiffany Studios New York 958”

This unique piece is in very good condition. There are no cracks in the glass. It was used as an ash tray, so there is some staining of the lower surface. If you look closely, there is also a very slight indentation that you can only see if you turn it over (see photos). Otherwise, an engaging piece in excellent shape.

An interesting piece, this Tiffany Studios Pine Needle piece of metal ware can complete a set, or it can serve a variety of functional uses as an addition to your home or office.
